Everyone loves rounded corners it seems these days. Some would say it’s old school now, but it’s still relevant so let’s check out how to create them:
Ok so for starters have your image open in Adobe Photoshop CS3 or CS4 (if you are using an older version this should work also):
1. Click on the Rounded Rectangle Shape in you Tools Palette
2. Click-and-drag your cursor from the top-right-hand-corner to the bottom-left-hand-corner of the image (or wherever you want the proportions of the image to be, you’ll see what I mean).
3. Holding the CTRL key click on the shape layer’s Vector Mask thumbnail to make a selection of the shape.
4. Select the image layer
5. Copy the selection by pressing CTRL+C or right-click and select Copy.
6. Paste the selection by pressing CTRL+V or right-click and select Paste. This will create a new layer above the image without rounded corners.
7. Delete the non-rounded corner image and hide the shape layer. Save as .PNG and you’re all set!
